Cannabis-assisted Psychotherapy for Trauma Healing & Nervous System Reset
Cannabis-assisted Psychotherapy for Trauma Healing & Nervous System Reset
Healing happens when the body feels safe enough to let go. With somatic, trauma-informed cannabis work, you drop beneath mental defenses and into deeper emotional truth — allowing old wounds, anxiety, and stored tension to finally unwind.
This is a powerful reset for your nervous system and a return to your natural clarity, balance, and ease.

NATURAL HEALING, REDEFINED.
Trauma release through the body’s natural wisdom
In the wild, when a zebra escapes a lion’s chase, it doesn’t carry the fear forever. Once safe with its herd at the watering hole, its body instinctively trembles and shakes — releasing stored survival energy. Humans share this same biology, yet many of us hold trauma for years. Cannabis-assisted psychotherapy can help reawaken this natural reset, allowing the nervous system to discharge held stress and return toward balance.

When Talk Therapy Isn't Enough
When Talk Therapy Isn't Enough
Talk therapy can help you understand your patterns, but understanding alone doesn’t always create change. When the body is still holding old tension, fear, or shutdown, the mind can only go so far. Somatic work allows you to access and unwind what talking can’t reach.

Cannabis as a Somatic Amplifier
Cannabis as a Somatic Amplifier
When used intentionally, cannabis softens the mind’s defenses and heightens interoceptive (inner sensing) awareness, allowing you to feel more of your inner experience with clarity. As your awareness deepens, waves of sensation and energy begin to rise through the body — the very place where release and transformation unfold. This amplified somatic access is what makes the work so powerful.

How This Supports Trauma Resolution
How This Supports Trauma Resolution
Because trauma lives in the body, healing must happen there too. When the nervous system feels safe enough to soften, stored survival energy rises, moves, and releases, allowing old patterns to unravel. These moments of emotional discharge and deep settling are the body’s way of completing what was never finished.

What a Cannabis-assisted Session Looks Like
What a Cannabis-assisted Session Looks Like
What a Cannabis-assisted Session Looks Like
A cannabis session begins the moment you arrive and settle into the space. Over the course of about two hours together, you’re invited to recline or sit in whatever position feels most supportive, and we take a few minutes to slow down, make contact, and let your system arrive. We ground, orient, and attune—not to create an intention for your mind, but to help your body feel safe enough to open.
Cannabis softens defenses and brings you into your body
When we’re both settled, you take the agreed-upon dose of cannabis, and the session naturally shifts inward. As the medicine comes on, awareness deepens, defenses soften, and the body becomes more available. You begin to feel more of what’s actually happening inside—sensations, impulses, emotions, breath, and subtle shifts you may not access in ordinary consciousness.

Your nervous system begins to share what's unresolved
With the body more online, your system starts revealing what has been held or unfinished—waves of energy, contraction and release, emotional surges, trembling, tightening, or unexpected clarity. My role is not to direct your experience but to track your nervous system and offer precise somatic cues so these waves can rise safely and complete. The work often unfolds in short, powerful cycles that move old patterns toward resolution.

As each wave completes, your nervous system naturally begins to re-organize. We slow down, allow the settling, and support whatever integration is happening. We close the session by grounding and orienting, making sure you leave feeling present, regulated, and connected to yourself.

Because trauma is stored in the body, not the mind, true healing requires working with the sensations, impulses, and protective patterns that live beneath conscious awareness. Somatic therapy offers a direct pathway into these layers, allowing the nervous system to unwind what talk therapy can't reach. As the body completes what was unfinished, real change becomes possible.

The Body Holds the Keys to Transformation
The Body Holds the Keys to Transformation
The body remembers what the mind can't resolve. Stress physiology, unfinished survival responses, and old patterns of protection live in the muscles, breath, and nervous system. When we work directly with the body, those long-held imprints finally have a chance to complete, release, and transform.

How Cannabis Enhances Somatic Therapy
How Cannabis Enhances Somatic Therapy
Cannabis softens top-down control and relaxes habitual defenses, allowing the autonomic nervous system to come forward and show what's unresolved. With less cognitive inhibition, the body's stored survival responses, sensations, and emotional impulses become easier to access and track. This creates a powerful, natural pathway for somatic work to unfold — allowing the nervous system to complete what was previously stuck or overwhelmed.

This was my first experience with Michael. I can say this: Michael is a gift. I could write a novel as an answer but will just say I found a great guide with many loving layers. We will work again, and I really look forward to the work with him.

How do I know if Cannabis-assisted Psychotherapy is right for me?
If you’ve been in talk therapy, meditation, or personal growth work and still sense something deeper that hasn’t fully resolved, this approach may be right for you. Cannabis-assisted psychotherapy can help when you’re ready to move beyond insight and into the body—where stored stress, emotion, and trauma live.
It’s especially supportive for people who:
Feel stuck in repeating emotional patterns or old narratives
Sense tension, anxiety, or disconnection in the body
Are seeking deeper self-understanding, regulation, or peace
Are open to working experientially and somatically, with cannabis as a therapeutic ally
You don’t need prior psychedelic experience—just curiosity and a willingness to explore at your own pace.

What can I expect from the first session?
What can I expect from the first session?
Your first session is a preparation and practice run—a chance to experience the rhythm of this work before introducing cannabis. Together, we’ll begin to slow the pace, build safety, and attune to the natural intelligence of your body.
You’ll learn how to stay present with sensation, emotion, and energy as they arise—without analysis or effort. This embodied awareness forms the foundation for all future sessions, helping your nervous system recognize that it’s safe to release and reorganize.
By the end of this first meeting, you’ll have a felt sense of how the process works and will also experience it.
How long are each session?
How long are each session?
The first session is about 60 to 90 minutes, giving us time to connect, build safety, and introduce the foundational practices of this work.
All subsequent sessions are two hours, allowing space for the body to open, process, and integrate at its natural pace without feeling rushed.
Do you offer both online and in-person sessions?
Do you offer both online and in-person sessions?
Yes. In-person sessions and secure online sessions are both available—each designed to meet you where you are and support the same depth of healing and connection.
How often should I come to therapy?
How often should I come to therapy?
Most people begin with one session per week, creating a steady rhythm that allows the nervous system to build safety and momentum. In some cases—especially during periods of active release or deeper work—meeting twice per week can be beneficial.
On average, six to nine sessions are needed to reset the nervous system and complete a full therapeutic cycle. After that, occasional maintenance sessions can help sustain regulation and integration over time.

What if I don’t know what to talk about?
That’s okay. You don’t need to have it all figured out. Sometimes just showing up is the most important first step — and I will guide you from there.
Progress doesn’t always feel like progress. Sometimes it’s showing up. Sometimes it’s pausing. But each moment of awareness becomes part of the path forward — and you don’t have to walk it alone.

Is everything I share kept private?
Is everything I share kept private?
Yes. Your sessions are completely confidential, except in very rare cases related to safety. Your privacy is always a priority.
What if I don’t know what to talk about?
What if I don’t know what to talk about?
That’s okay. You don’t need to have it all figured out. Sometimes just showing up is the most important first step — and I will guide you from there.
Progress doesn’t always feel like progress. Sometimes it’s showing up. Sometimes it’s pausing. But each moment of awareness becomes part of the path forward — and you don’t have to walk it alone.
